Senpai Brittany Thi Pham

2nd Degree Black Belt

Brittany Thi Pham was born July 8, 1995 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She started karate with Shihan Michael Berger with the International Karate Association (I.K.A.) when she was six years old, earning her black belt when she was ten years old. When Shihan Michael Berger left to manage another I.K.A dojo in California, Brittany continued to train in the Utah dojo, which was left in the guidance of Sensei Marius Gilca.

Brittany has competed in many tournaments including but not limited to Utah Open (Salt Lake City, Utah), Rocky Mountain Championship (Denver, Colorado), Ozawa Cup (Las Vegas, Nevada), Junior Olympics (Las Vegas, Nevada), and U.S Open (Las Vegas, Nevada). She has competed in these annual tournaments multiple times since she was seven years old, winning numerous gold, silver, and bronze medals.

When she isn’t training or helping to teach in the dojo, Brittany enjoys singing, acting, reading, playing piano, and spending time with friends and family. She has also performed in many plays and musicals in school and with performing companies since she was four years old. She looks forward to pursue a career in acting and singing, and also hopes to attend a performing arts college.
